“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” - willy wonka
Role: Founder + Editor-In-Chief
Flurry Lifestyle was founded in 2017 as a personal outlet for creativity in the wake of my uncle's death. It quickly evolved into a media platform to highlight and uplift other BIPOC creatives.
Now, we are a rising independent magazine, created for creatives, by a creative. The biannual zine focuses on different themes around the human experience and beyond. It is the culmination of the innermost thoughts, feelings, and yearnings of the creatives in our community—bravely putting their vulnerabilities on display and inspiring us all.
Flurry’s mission is to help other Gen Z BIPOC artists feel SEEN and HEARD. We aim to be a safe space for underrepresented voices to share their gifts, as well as produce quality work that is honest, imaginative, and, above all, from the heart.
The platform is intentionally curated to give artists the space to dream, to feel, to connect, to learn from others, to question everything—especially the things they thought they were sure about—and to be unapologetically YOU, because we wouldn’t want you any other way.
